OPAS Spring Retreat

OPAS gathered for its Spring Retreat to compete in the thrilling OPAS Olympics. Appropriately in the Archery Room in the Rec Center, Opasites came dressed as their favorite sport, Olympian, athlete etc. All participated in fast paced challenges such as the parade of nation balloon walk, flipped bobsled, hidden birds nest, the Olympic Rings, rhythmic gymnastics, captain calling, and finally the relay race with the ultimate goal in mind: candy. In the end, Bolshoi House was the winner and the mystery continues as to how and why Bolshoi keeps rocking the House competitions. Ryan Trantham took time out of his day to talk to us about how OPAS contributes to something so much greater than our own organization by representing the Memorial Student Center.  After a scrumptious meal from Chick-fil-a and an afternoon filled with activities, each student left fulfilled not just from food, but also from Olympic spirit. A huge thank you goes to the Student Development team (Megan McKeown, Bradley D'Souza, Madeline Sandhop) for planning two very successful retreats. As OPAS heads into banquet season, we will all be looking forward to what's in store for the student committee.
